My husband and I have kept bees near our home in Ann Arbor, Michigan for nearly three years. Here is a first look inside the beehive for the 2022 beekeeping season. In the video you’ll see how we prepare for an inspection by putting on our gear, gathering our tools and making sure the marked queen is alive and well.

Andrew Kidd is a woodworker based in Dearborn, Michigan. In 2021, he decided to leave his corporate job amid the “Great Resignation” and pursue his passion for woodworking and start his business, Audette Woodcraft. KEEPING TRADITION

The village of Nikolai is located on the northern section of the Kuskokwim River in remote Alaska. The population of Nikolai is roughly 100 and made up of primarily indigenous Athabaskan people. In 2013, the elders and youth of the community spent just over a week constructing a fish wheel, a device used to catch fish, made out of trees and resources gathered from around the area.
